WESTBORO PHOTONICS – ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibration laboratory for 2D imaging photometers and imaging colorimeters

Westboro Photonics is now an ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibration laboratory for 2D imaging photometers and imaging colorimeters. This accreditation has been granted by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP, Lab Code 600285-0). While other labs are accredited for the calibration of spot detector photometers and colorimeters, Westboro Photonics’ calibration laboratory is the first in the world to be specifically accredited for two-dimensional imaging instruments.
Tim Moggridge, President of Westboro Photonics, said: “We are delighted for the recognition, and I am very proud of our team for this achievement. This accreditation is a testament to Westboro Photonics’ commitment to quality as well as a vital demonstration of the caliber of our imaging photometer and imaging colorimeter systems.”
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 encompasses general requirements for a company’s quality management system and includes detailed and specific technical criteria for the operation of the calibration laboratories.
Dr. Rainer Böhm, Managing Director of SphereOptics GmbH, adds: “Especially with customers from the automotive sector we see more and more the demand for measuring instruments and measuring accessories that are calibrated according to ISO/IEC 17025. Therefore, I am very pleased to see that our partner Westboro Photonics has reached this milestone. Congratulations.”
