Cubert’s ULTRIS X20 is based upon a 20 Megapixel, ultra-HD CMOS sensor with “light field” sensing. This makes it the highest resolution “snapshot” (video rate) hyperspectral camera. It has a native resolution of 410×410 pixels, resulting in an impressive 168,100 spectra per image, each with 164 spectral bands covering 350-1000nm, taken in a single snapshot.
Key Features of Cubert ULTRIS X20
Bringing Light Field Technology to Hyperspectral Imaging
The Cubert ULTRIS breaks new ground as the first hyperspectral imaging camera that is based on “light field technology”. The camera features an Ultra-HD CMOS sensor with 20 MP, making it the imaging spectrometer with the world’s highest available resolution. The camera provides a native image resolution of 400×400 pixel with 164 spectral channels, continuously covering the wavelength range from 350 to 1000nm. The ULTRIS records an object with a multitude of images, each with its own optical bandpass filter with different centre wavelength. This is made possible by combining a continuously variable bandpass filter with a lenslet array. Applying this concept to the UHD sensor, 168,100 spectra are acquired simultaneously.

CUVIS HSI Software
Cubert’s powerful HSI software, CUVIS, processes raw data, reflectance, and radiance, allowing hyperspectral videos at up to 15 Hz. The software supports initial analysis on recorded image cubes and live data streams. Spectral indices, customized plug-ins, and classification solutions can be applied in real-time. The powerful SDK allows seamless system integration, enabling live classification and custom mathematical functions either live or on pre-recorded data. CUVIS AI extends CUVIS with real-world applications, showcasing the potential of hyperspectral imaging combined with machine learning. Learn more.
