The SphereOptics Reflectance Laboratory provides ISO 17025 accredited measurements of reflectance. With two Perkin Elmer Lambda Series UV-VIS-NIR spectrophotometers, certified measurements of spectral reflectance and transmittance are available (total hemispheric, diffuse-only, specular-only & total reflectance versus angle) according to DIN 5036. Recalibration of Labsphere, SphereOptics and third-party reflectance standards and targets is of course provided. In addition, we can measure reflective or transmissive scatter (BRDF & BTDF) using our scatterometers at various visible and IR wavelengths, with spectral scatter measurements in the works. The SphereOptics Calibration Laboratory maintains a calibrated, large area, uniform luminance source and provides calibrations of machine vision cameras, hyperspectral imagers, imaging photometers and imaging colorimeters. The SphereOptics Lighting Test Laboratory provides photometric measurements of lamps, LEDs and luminaires and photobiological safety measurements to satisfy the requirements of EN 62471 and the Artificial Optical Radiation (AOR) directive.
Starting at the end of January 2026, we will offer in-house Light Meter Calibration Services. With our new calibration laboratory now located on site, you benefit from faster turnaround times, shorter logistics paths, and high-quality measurements. In continued cooperation with Labsphere and International Light Technologies (ILT), we provide recalibration services for radiometers, photometers, and spectroradiometers.
