FTIR Hyperspectral Cameras

The Hyper-Cam is a family of advanced FTIR infrared hyperspectral cameras, made by Telops. This remote sensing instrument combines high spatial, spectral and temporal resolution providing unmatched performance. They are versatile tools for remote detection, identification and quantification. The unique spectral features of gases or solids under study are received by the Hyper-Cam’s Michelson interferometer. A high resolution spectrum is then recorded at each pixel of a focal plane array (FPA) detector. By comparing a measured spectrum with reference spectral signatures of known gases and solids, the constituents of a target can be easily identified. There are three basic models in the Hyper-Cam family: the Hyper-Cam Mini; the Hyper-Cam Mini Airborne and the new Hyper-Cam Airborne Nano. A choice of cooled InSb detectors provide measurements in the 1.5-5.4μm or 3.0-5.4μm bands, while cooled SLS detectors operate in the 2.9-5.2μm or 7.4-11.8/12.5μm bands.
