The ILT 970 from International Light Technologies is a family of versatile, research-grade spectroradiometers, available with a range of application-specific input optics that provide for measurements of spectral irradiance, radiance or radiant flux. Being a spectroradiometer ensures that the ILT 970 gives accurate readings with any type of light source. Measure spectral irradiance (Watts/m2.nm), spectral radiant flux (Watts/nm), spectral radiance (Watts/sr.m2.nm), the illuminance (lux), the luminous flux (lumens), the luminance (cd/m2), the correlated colour temperature of white light sources (CCT, Kelvin), the CIE chromaticity (xy or u’v’), the dominant wavelength of coloured light sources (nm) and the CIE colour rendering index, CRI (Ra, R1-15). 

The ILT 970 Family

The ILT 970 family comprises four models, three of which employ a silicon CMOS sensor for measurements in the 200-1050nm band (depending on model chosen), while the fourth uses an InGaAs array detector for NIR measurements from 900-1700nm. 

  • ILT 970-UV: UV model, 200-450 nm
  • ILT 970-BB: broadband model, 200-1000 nm
  • ILT 970-VNIR: VIS-VNIR model, 380-1000 nm
  • ILT 970-NIR: NIR model, 900-1650 nm

The ILT 970-NIR can be combined with a second ILT 970 model to expand the range to include UV-VIS-NIR spectral measurements.

All models come as standard with ILT’s SpectrILight III software, a 1 meter long optical fiber patchcord, a choice of input optic (right angle diffuser on the NIR model), tripod, hard storage case and NIST-traceable, ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited calibration with certification and data files.

Configure your ILT 970 for your application

The ILT 970 spectroradiometer comes standard with an SMA905 fibre optic receptor, allowing it to be used with a variety of fibre optic patch cords, including both flexible and rigid models. The available input optics include:

  • RAA4 right angle adaptor
  • RAA5 mini right angle adaptor
  • W/A2 cosine corrected diffuser
  • W5 mini diffuser
  • R2 radiance optic
  • R3 spot radiance optic
  • INS50 2″, 5″ and 10″ integrating spheres
  • INS125 5″ integrating sphere
  • INS125 10″ integrating sphere

 

Each input optic requires its own unique calibration.  Multiple calibrations can be performed on a single spectrometer, allowing measurements of total flux, irradiance, radiance, luminance, and illuminance with the appropriate input optic as noted above.
