Labsphere’s HELIOS Plus range of uniform light sources serve as stable, calibrated standards of luminance and spectral radiance. The open exit port on an internally illuminated integrating sphere acts as a uniform light source. The sphere output is characterised by both spatially and angularly uniform radiance which can be used to flat-field correct and transfer an absolute luminance or spectral radiance calibration onto cameras, multispectral and hyperspectral imagers, small satellite imagers and earth observation systems.
The entry-level HELIOS Plus V-Series uniform light sources provide for manual adjusted variable luminance.

Evolve your testing with the flexibility of the HELIOS®Plus V Family. The core of all HELIOS®Plus V Family systems is a halogen external source (HES) lamp. The HES sources are the operative solution to translate light levels without changing current and spectrum when combined with the manual variable attenuator on the V Family systems. These optimized light units are thermally stabilized, quiet, almost completely light tight and provide a stable spectrum at 3000K from 300 – 2400 nm.

Simplify your R&D testing routines with HELIOSense. HELIOSense Software is the primary interface for HELIOSPlus components and systems. It is a flexible architecture where any hardware built into the Labsphere API (LSAPI) can be recognized and used in HELIOSPlus systems.
The HELIOSPlus-VM, V Family systems are simple and complete turn-key systems with excellent dynamic range. A single lamp, manual attenuator and detector give you the ability to completely characterize your sensor/imager over its full dynamic range from moonlight levels to albedo 1.5.
