Wasatch WP 248 UV Raman Spectrometer

UV Raman Spectrometer for Fluorescence-Free Raman Spectroscopy

The trade-off between signal strength and fluorescence background often dominates the choice of excitation wavelength in Raman spectroscopy. Thanks to the Wasatch Photonics WP 248 UV Raman spectrometer, the fluorescence background is more-or-less eliminated. The WP 248 is the first compact, modular, high sensitivity UV Raman spectrometer that provides all of the advantages of UV Raman spectroscopy without the need for a complex, bulky and expensive benchtop setup.

  • Advantages of UV Raman
Excitation options for fluorescence suppression. The trade off between signal strength and fluorescence background often dominates the choice of excitation wavelength for Raman spectroscopy. But what if fluorescence background could be eliminated entirely? UV Raman allows just that. In this application note, we’ll explore its advantages, and the technical challenges.
  • Designing Raman Solutions
Our toolbox for Raman spectroscopy gives you the flexibility to optimise your application without compromising on performance or size. Explore the many options!
  • Extending Raman’s Reach
Learn how a reduction in spectrometer size need not mean a compromise in performance compared to traditional benchtop Raman systems, thus expanding the possible applications served by Raman spectroscopy.
