Seminar on Optical Scattering: Measurement and Analysis

When:     14th November 2019
Where:    Herrsching, Haus der bayrischen Landwirtschaft; 09:30 to 16:00
Speaker:  John C. Stover (The Scatter Works Inc.) Tucson Arizona, USA – “Well known expert for optical scatter theory”

SphereOptics – together with Mr. John Stover – The Scatter Works Inc.- are organizing a seminar on
the principles of optical scatter measurements, analysis and application.

Material characterization and classification based on scatter for metals, plastics, paper, and textiles is
becoming increasingly important for all industries where simulation (virtual reality) is part of R&D, as
well as the presentation and sales strategy for a product. Those fields range from automotive
applications, the testing of LIDAR systems, to the simulation of objects in virtual reality video games.

Our seminar will provide you with the fundamental knowledge of the important parameters for
scatter analysis (BSDF, BDRF/BTDF, TIS, …) and will provide an overview of the instrumentation
required to measure scatter from various objects.

The seminar will be held in Herrsching am Ammersee at the Haus der
bayrischen Landwirtschaft on the 14.11.2019 from 09:30-16:00. Please
register by 08.11.2019 at info@sphereoptics.de. The seminar will be
held in English language, all handouts will be in English language.

The workshop is 200€ to attend, until 18.10.2019, the early bird rate of
150€ is applicable. We will be happy to assist you in booking
accommodation for your stay during the workshop.

Yours truly,
The SphereOptics Team
