Specbos Spectroradiometers – Luminance and Illuminance Measurement in one Instrument

  • Versatile, miniaturised spectroradiometer with the ability to measure both spectral radiance (luminance in cd/m²) and spectral irradiance (illuminance in lux) in one instrument
  • Various models provide for measurements in the 250-1000 nm range, with specialist versions available for flash photometry and average LED intensity in accordance with CIE 127:2007
  • A built-in red laser pointing device conveniently defines the measurement spot for luminance measurements
  • The large variety of accessories and the UV option make this small instrument to a versatile all-rounder to fit a lot of applications

Short Description

Ease-of-use and flexibility are key to the popularity of the Specbos. It can be converted from making measurements of spectral irradiance to spectral radiance simply by removing the clip-on cosine receiver. A built-in red laser pointing device conveniently defines the measurement spot for luminance measurements.

All systems come with the powerful Software LiVal. If a customized software is needed a simple, high-level Application Programme Interface (API) exist to provide complete connectivity with the Specbos.

Additional Software Functions

  • Metamerism values (ISO 23603)
  • Photobiological safety assessments per EN 62471
  • Measurement of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR)
  • For LED testing, binning and ranking tools and CIE chromaticity diagrams with target SDCM / MacAdam ellipses
  • RGB values in many different color spaces, Colour Rendering Index (CRI), dominant, peak and centroid wavelength and FWHM
  • Spectral and Ratio calculations

Applications

  • Luminance, color and spectral measurements on LCD, plasma and LED displays
  • Illuminance measurements at offices, architectural lighting
  • Luminous flux and spectral measurements (with integration sphere accessory)
  • Calibration ofmonitors and digital projectors
  • Reference measurements of imaging colorimeters
